50by30WR is a local advocacy group focused on climate action and greenhouse gas emissions reduction. Their name recognizes that we need to act quickly — reducing emissions by 50% by 2030 (that's only 8 years away!). Instead of waiting until 2050 to achieve our goals, it's important to act as soon as possible.

50by30WR asked each candidate two questions, and I'm proud to support both of them:

• affirmed support for the Region of Waterloo's aspirational 50by30 emissions reduction goal, and
• affirmed support for the climate adaptation and mitigation strategies outlined in the TransformWR strategy
